Starting up K2

K2 is distributed as a jar file. To run the K2 server you must have the jar file in your CLASSPATH. You can then start up the server like this: java K2.system.Server.

Normally when K2 starts up it reads a properties file whose name is given on the command line. When run using the command above, K2 will generate a properties file named K2.props which contains default values for all of the properties used by K2. You should put the correct values for your installation into this file and run the server like this: java K2.system.Server K2.props.

The names of the properties are actually the fully-qualified names of public static members of K2 classes. For more information about them, see the documentation. The following properties must be set in order for the server to start up correctly:
