We are delighted to welcome Ryan Marcus as a new Assistant Professor joining the Database Group, starting in Fall 2023 (after spending a year at Amazon)! Ryan has done amazing work on combining ideas from deep learning with database systems — including the Neo and Bao reinforcement learning-based query optimizers. Read more…
